Filipe Moreno, a well-known musician and composer around Brazil and especially his home state Bahia has established himself as one of the most progressive pioneers of his instrument, the six string bass.

German-Australian saxophonist and Berlin resident Paul Andrew and Filipe Moreno go back many years and have performed together in Brazil as well as Germany. Not only is it a reunion between friends, but also of musicians that have always inspired each other and that now find an opportunity to perform as a duo.

The light and agile playing of Paul Andrew's Saxophone melts in perfectly with the incredibly virtuously played acoustic bass that replaces an entire rhythm section. This international duo from different parts of the world finds its style between the roots of Brazilian traditional music and the experimental improvisational side of contemporary Jazz music.
